David Mann is a Managing Partner and co-Founder of Spring Mill Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage information technology and healthcare investments. His background includes general management, operations, and investment experience. Previously, he worked with ServiceMaster Ventures, a corporate venture capital group, and was a founding member of the ServiceMaster Home Service Center (fka WeServeHomes), a joint venture between Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and ServiceMaster. Earlier, he served as assistant to the CEO of Invesco, while a summer associate.
David began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy, serving as a White House liaison on the staff of the Secretary of the Navy, holding leadership positions on board a nuclear guided-missile cruiser, and working in information systems.
David is an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business where he started and teaches the entrepreneurial finance course in the M.B.A. program (Indianapolis). He currently serves on the board of directors of AIT Laboratories, BioStorage Technologies, and WebLink International and as a board observer at PerfectServe and Scale Computing. He also serves on the board of advisors of Pellegrino & Associates and on the non-profit boards of HVAF (Helping Homeless Veterans and Families), Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing, Marian University School of Business, and Purdue Emerging Innovations Fund. He previously served as board chair of KIPP Indianapolis and president of the Venture Club of Indiana.
David received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy.
