David Mann is a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Spring Mill Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage life sciences and information technology investments.
Previously, David worked with ServiceMaster Ventures, a corporate venture group, and was a founding member of the ServiceMaster Home Service Center, a high growth joint venture between Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and ServiceMaster in which he held operations and sales roles. Earlier, he served as assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of INVESCO, a leading investment management company, while a summer associate.
David began his career as an officer in the United States Navy gaining operations, project management, and profit/loss experience. He was selected as a White House liaison assigned to the staff of the Secretary of the Navy. Earlier, David held various leadership positions in information systems as well as business operations and logistics on board a nuclear guided missile cruiser.
David received his Master in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He is an adjunct faculty member of venture capital and entrepreneurial finance at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business (Indianapolis). In addition, he has served as President and a board director of the Venture Club of Indiana, and serves as a Board Director of HVAF (Helping Homeless Veterans and Families) and on the Board of Advisors of the International Kidney Stone Institute, Indiana University Liberal Arts and Management Program, and Pellegrino & Associates. In addition, he is on the Naval Academy Nomination Committee for a United States Representative. Currently, David serves on the corporate boards of BioStorage Technologies, Cine-tal Systems, and WebLink International.
