WebLink Secures Additional Venture Funding to Fuel Rapid Growth

Jan. 16, 2012 - INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana-based WebLink International, the leading provider of association database software, has secured a $1 million round of funding from Reservoir Venture Partners, a Columbus, Ohio-based venture capital firm.

Including this most recent investment, WebLink has raised a total of $7 million in funding since 2008.

Founded in 1996, WebLink is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company that provides online member managment software, website solutions, social media, and mobile apps to more than 1,500 clients – including national trade and professional associations, as well as more than half of the nation’s top state and metro chambers of commerce. Since receiving its first round of venture funding in 2008, WebLink has added 1,100 clients.

WebLink’s association software provides membership-based organizations one simple and seamless member managment solution to manage their entire business. The system includes integrated tools for relationship and member management, powerful real-time reporting, robust retention and sales tools, forecasting and financial management, member intelligence, website design and optimization, e-commerce, social media, mobile app, and event management.

“At Reservoir, we look to invest in high-growth technology companies with proven records of success and strong management teams,” said Steven B. Jaffee, General Partner at Reservoir Venture Partners. “WebLink fits that bill perfectly, and we’re very excited to add them to our portfolio.”

Posting strong year-over-year growth and record sales, WebLink will use this capital to fuel its rapid growth by investing in its sales and product development teams to further expand WebLink’s solution set in the marketplace.

WebLink will also invest in its client facing support, implementation, and client services teams to ensure customers receive maximum value and return on their technology investments.

“We’ve experienced tremendous new business growth the last two years,” Terry Dwyer, CEO at WebLink, said. “The success is extremely promising; especially in the economy we’ve faced recently. This injection of capital will allow us to channel our success and not only continue growing at a record pace, but also continue delivering the industry’s best technology to trade and professional associations and a customer experience second to none.”

As part of this additional funding, Steven B. Jaffee, General Partner at Reservoir Venture Partners, has joined the WebLink Board of Directors.

With its infusion of capital, Reservoir Venture Partners joins WebLink’s other investors: Allos Ventures, Spring Mill Ventures and HALO Capital group, all based in Indiana as well as Western Technology Investment, headquartered in Portola Valley, California.
