The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has announced its 2016 Chamber of the Year finalists. The annual award, sponsored by WebLink, seeks to honor Chambers of Commerce achieving excellence in operations, member services and community leadership.
This year, 16 chambers have been selected to advance to the final round of the competition. To see the complete list of finalists, click here.
An extra special congratulations are in order for the four finalists that are WebLink clients: Association of Washington Business, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Commerce Lexington, Inc., and the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.
Chambers who have been selected as finalists were required to a meet a minimum threshold in at least three of five key performance areas, including net revenue, net assets, membership account retention, and membership dollar retention, and took part in a multi-stage application process.
To ensure fair competition, each competing organization was placed into a category based on total revenue, member accounts, service area population, number of businesses in the service area and restricted revenue as a percentage of total revenue. Submitted applications were then evaluated by a judging committee consisting chamber professionals and past award winners.
In the final phase of the competition, the judging committee conducts in-person interviews with leaders from each finalist chamber. One winner from each category will be named at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Convention in Savannah, Georgia, August 9–12.
As the official sponsor of the awards, WebLink would like to congratulate all finalists on this prestigious honor.
We look forward to seeing the winners announced at this year’s ACCE Annual Convention!
